Smart walkie-talkie Hytera PNC370

The Hytera PNC370 is an IP-67 LTE WiFi, poc android network radio with screen and limited keyboard for basic radio functions. Not yet equipped with the SycoPTT application by default. From the factory it uses the Hytera Hytalk PTT platform, which offers a more limited range of types of devices than the SycoPTT platform. Your distributor can immediately supply the device with the SycoPTT software, it is then sufficient to place a SIM card in the device and register the LTE walkie-talkie on the platform via a license. Settings in the LTE SIM walkie-talkie itself are not necessary after installing the app, everything is done automatically via the platform.

This is not a classic PMR radio that uses 1 preset frequency and subtones/subchannels. The simtrunk ip radio is internally a smartphone that focuses on only 1 task, the PTT application. This ensures a very stable network connection that does not have to receive your e-mails and/or latest Facebook messages at the same time. The network connection is optimally set up, so that this radio also has a good push to talk connection in places where your smartphone cannot connect. As already mentioned, this Hytera 4g walkie-talkie uses the GSM network, so no repeaters or other hardware is needed to get the sim walkie talkie working. If you have WiFi everywhere, a subscription to the sycoptt network is sufficient. If you want to be reachable everywhere, you need a SIM card with a data subscription of +-250mb/month + a SycoPTT subscription to make the lte walkie-talkie work.

The compact Hytera PNC370 is a very simple POC radio that works over the LTE network. The SycoPTT application uses an LTE data connection to enable fast voice communication and data transfer. This PTT over cellular (poc) radio can be used in an almost unlimited range via SIM card or WiFi. This new type of radio communication is the perfect replacement for the old PMR mobile radio with the same features but greater range and sound quality. If you have a strong WiFi connection, you can use it indoors and in large buildings, while you use the public LTE network outside the business complex so that you can remain accessible everywhere.

As an extra, the Hytera PNC370 also has an LED flashlight built into the antenna of the walkie-talkie. You can charge the device via the standard micro-usb charger or via a drop-in charger that is also available in 6 charger units. Via Bluetooth it is possible to connect to earphones/microphones, you can also connect the well-known PD3 compatible earphones via wired 2.5mm connection with screw.

Installing software on the Hytera PNC370

With the TotalControl software (brand Sigma) it is sufficient to connect your device to the computer via the micro USB connection. The application takes over the screen of your radio. Install the APK of SycoPTT and SycoPTT menu launcher by dragging it into the android screen, then install it automatically. After installing the launcher, you can block the default Hytera PNC370 firmware from becoming invisible. This makes everything much easier for the end user, making it impossible for the user to remove his device and application himself. The only drawback to this is that the Hytera PNC370 firmware updates must be performed via the distributor or administrator.

The Hytera PNC370 has no programming software. However, there are tools available with which, for example, the APN or WiFi can be added from the computer. Fortunately, when using the SycoPTT poc network, the settings can mainly be switched on and off from the management platform. The settings that you can adjust from the poc radio can also be disabled via the management platform if desired.

Insert SIM card

At the back of the Hytera PNC370 is a magnetic rubber above a micro SIM card holder. The magnetic cover can be removed with your nails or plastic screwdriver. Place your SIM card in the SIM card holder and replace the battery and battery cover to make the device splash-proof. The device can also work without a SIM card if it is connected via the WiFi network (2.4GHz only).
